Taking a look inside, the first thing that is noticeable, besides the obvious recording equipment, are the photos on the walls, many of them familiar and famous faces. To me, this is the one place Obama is vulnerable to a Hillary attack: his lack of realism, bordering on outright deception. She certainly has no credibility to attack his robust liberalism. But instead of going after him on this, Hillary shrunk away from it as if she had been caught on tape in a dirty trick. Hillary said, "Well, I was having a little fun. You know, it's hard to find time to have fun on the campaign trail, but occasionally you can sneak that in." Bull. She wasn't trying to have fun. She was showcasing the absurdity of Obama's feigned messiahship and hitting him in the jugular. But under pressure and outside the comfort zone of her own campaign rally, she didn't have the courage to follow through and call him on his utopian nonsense. I'm not sure it would have done any good, but the cards were stacked against her anyway, so what did she have to lose? This is all ominous for John McCain because there is a common contributing factor in his and Hillary's previous electoral successes: They were both greatly aided by favorable MSM treatment.

A day after attending Feb. 7 funeral services in Germany for victims of a fire possibly set by racists, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and German and Turkish students.
He called upon Germany to establish schools that teach in Turkish. Responding en masse, conservative critics warned of Turkish ghettoes and advocated German language instruction as a prime tool for integrating 2.7 million resident Turks.
But immigrant life is precarious and ghettos already exist, defenders pointed out. Besides, schools teaching in French and English are commonplace. So its less a question of language or culture than rejection of the lower classes, Thomas Steinfeld suggested, writing in Sddeutsche Zeitung.

Couple studies attitudes toward state's wolves
Today as many as 600 wolves roam the state, with packs as far south as the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge in central Wisconsin. Recently, a wolf was seen playing with a dog in Iowa County in southwestern Wisconsin. Treves said wolves have been a surprise because they are living in areas much closer to humans than was expected. "These are flexible, intelligent animals, " Treves added. And, for the most part, Treves added, wolf packs have existed side-by-side with humans with few problems. Though there has been predation on livestock, those incidents have been limited to fewer than one percent of the state 's wolves. Residents, the surveys show, favor compensation payments for farmers who lose livestock to wolves, although they are less in favor of paying bear hunters for the loss of hunting dogs to the wolves.
Council OKs spending of $20,000
LAFAYETTE — The City-Parish Council on Wednesday approved spending $20,000 to make safety improvements to the downtown parking garage near the parish courthouse. The improvements — a security fence and a roll-up door — are expected to reduce overnight intrusions into the garage, which over the years has attracted vandals and scofflaws. The condition of the garage has been an on-going issue of contention between the city-parish and tenants of the parish courthouse. The garages are open to the public during business hours, though a large portion of those users are employees of parish agencies such as the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court, 15th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office. The two parking garages help generate positive revenue for the city-parish.
